Consumer awareness on Electronic Credit Information Bureau (eCIB)
 

·         Financial Institutions shall submit their borrowers’ outstanding obligations to Credit Information Bureau of State Bank of Pakistan and Private Credit Bureaus in accordance to Credit Bureau Act 2015.

·         Financial institutions shall submit complete details and status of borrower’s obligation to SBP on monthly basis.                  

·         In case of overdues reported by the bank shall be reflected in Credit Information report and shall have an impact on Credit History of the borrower such as follows  

 

For Corporate Borrowers: eCIB report would reflect the restructuring / rescheduling of loans for 5 years and would reflect Write-off / Waiver for 10 years

For Consumer Borrowers: eCIB report would reflect Credit History (i.e. overdue / late payment / write-offs / waiver) for a period of 2 years after settlement.
